Mentor Trainings

The initial mentor training offered by Threshold Passages is called Reclaiming Your Teenage Fire. It is not required to participate in Threshold Passages as a mentor, but it is highly recommended. The training is an opportunity for each man to get in touch with who he was as a teenager and perhaps to better understand and to transform events into experiences that have personal value. These are a part of what made him the man he is today, and what may have positive aspects or led to good outcomes. During this process, each man will be able to decide to act in the world from the man that he is today - not the boy his was in the past. From this new place of healthier connection to his youth, each man is better able to develop supportive relationships with boys who need positive role models and examples of mature masculinity. This training has also proven valuable for men interested in becoming better fathers.
